Redding personal injury attorney Dugan Barr, who is representing an alleged rape victim, argues in court that his client’s privacy and patient-privilege rights would be violated if her medical documents were turned over to the city’s defense attorneys.

The ongoing case concerns a $10 million lawsuit against the city of Anderson and its police department by a Millville, CA woman who charges she was raped in 2010 by an Anderson police officer taking her to jail.

“I’m just trying to protect her from being victimized again,” said Barr following the hearing at the federal courthouse in Redding, CA.
